Katrina Reed has been coaching since 2006, ranging from the elementary school to collegiate levels. Reed is currently the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Episcopal High School in Alexandria where she has led the team to three championship banners since 2015. She also works as an English teacher, dorm parent, and college counselor at EHS. Reed played collegiate basketball at Elmira College in upstate New York while acting as a student assistant coach for the JV program. She was named Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year in her senior season as a Soaring Eagle. From 2008-2012, Reed coached at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.; there, she helped lead the team to their first NCAA Tournament appearance and Landmark Championship in 2012 while developing multiple All-Americans. Following her time at CUA, she spent two years as an assistant coach at Marymount University in Arlington, Va., coaching a squad that won the Capital Athletic Conference in 2013, earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament, and advanced to the Round of 32. Coach Kat grew up in Chandler, Arizona and played high school basketball at Seton Catholic under Karen Self, the basketball winningest coach (at any level, men’s or women’s) in Arizona history.

Joe Reed has over 20 years of playing and coaching experience. Reed was the Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA for 8 years. In 2020, Reed earned Sun Gazette Coach of the Year for leading the squad to its best start and most wins in Yorktown history (11-0 and 20, respectively), a Washington Post Top 20 ranking, and a Liberty District Championship. In 2021, the Patriots were a regional semi-finalist. Prior to YHS, he was the Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Bishop Ireton High School, in Alexandria where he had four players receive scholarship offers to play in college. Coach Reed also has 7 years of college coaching experience as an Assistant Mens Basketball Coach at Marymount University in Arlington, Catholic University in Washington DC and Springfield College in Massachusetts. During his college coaching career, Reed has coached six All-Conference players, two Rookie of the Year award winners, and two All-Americans. Reed played collegiately at Springfield College in Massachusetts and oversees in Lancaster, U.K. He currently teaches Physical Education at Abingdon Elementary, serves on the Arlington County Health and PE Program Evaluation Committee, a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and is the Head Girls Golf Coach at Episcopal High School. Originally from Long Island, NY, Reed played at Holy Trinity High School, where he led the state is three pointers made his senior year.
